Immediately after we crossed that short wooden covered bridge, I felt that we had made a transition from one world into another. Almost less than an hour ago, we left Atlanta in our sedan and here we are now, in Big Canoe Georgia. It was truly breathtaking and I hadn’t ventured even 500 yards in yet. I am sure it is going to have the same effect on you when you finally get a chance to tour it. It was almost like the opposite of being in the city where you cannot take a step without anyone getting in your face. Here, after every few hundred meters we would see a nice lady jogging with her dog or an aged couple sitting on a bench gazing at the lake.

Yes, believe it or not it has lakes. As a matter of fact, the place has several bodies of water. There are an unknown number of streams, waterfalls and lakes. The way these have been interlaced with the homes is just a work of art. You should have seen how tight I had crossed my fingers hoping the house I would soon be buying would be near a beach. I was right; and do you know how much I was going to own this beautiful place for?
